Printed Hollow Form
I essentially designed a cool looking hourglass, it doesn't necessarily have a function unless décor counts. The hourglass itself kind of gives a steampunk vibe or a dark academia aesthetic and with the added beams that twist around itself the form may look twisted or wonderland-esque. So far the print looks self supporting I still have some doubts on the quality of the curve of the glass but it looks like it'll print.
I chose the hourglass out of all my concepts because its my favorite design of the concepts that I made and it received positive feedback from the critic. Mainly for the design and through that I was able to get some ideas on how to make it printable, such as increasing the size of the pillars or twisting them throughout the center piece to act as supports, as well as pin pointing an expected fail point with the lip that the original had. In the end you helped out but it was still good advice regardless.
The base here was the main fail point for my print, but it shouldn't be a problem this time.
The print setting I want to use are in this photo as I thought that would be easier then typing it out.
